The node.js NPM (Node Package Manager) allows us to manage the packages installed on our computer. NPM provides us with an online public registry service that contains all of the packages developed by programmers who chose to publish them using NPM. NPM provides us with a tool we can use for downloading, installing the managing those packages. As of node.js 6 the NPM is automatically installed as part of the node.js installation. The centralized repository of public modules that NPM maintains is available for browsing at http://search.npmjs.org.
You can find more video clips, code samples and various other types of training material for learning node.js in my free online courses website at http://abelski.lifemichael.com.
