The Paint.NET Graphics Editor TECH

Looking for a decent graphics editor I can use for free in order to avoid the purchase of the hiqh quality Photoshop or Fireworks applications I found the Paint.NET available for free download at www.GetPaint.net.

Unlike all other freeware graphics editors I had experience working with so far (e.g. Gimp), I was surprised to find an easy to use application with a friendly learning curve. The Paint.NET software application supports many of important features for basic graphics editing, such as layers, transparency, versions management and beyond. As far as it comes to simple grahpics editing I recommend.

The Paint.NET was first developed as a final project by undergraduate students mentored by Microsoft. It has evolved into a free easy to use software application that gains a growing popularity world wide. For the time being, Paint.NET is not an open source. It is a freeware only. I hope things change and they choose to open their source so others can assist them fixing the small bugs.
