What an incredible experience it was to speak at TestCon Europe 2025 in beautiful Vilnius! I had the pleasure of introducing Spec-Driven Development (SDD) with Kiro, exploring how AI and structured specifications are reshaping modern software development. The audience was engaged, curious, and eager to discuss how these new methodologies can enhance testing, quality, and productivity.
The TestCon Europe 2025 Conference
TestCon Europe is the biggest software testing & qa conference in Europe. It took place (10th year) in Vilnius, Lithuania. It included four days of talks delivered by top speakers from all over the world.
My talk took place on the last day. Due to recent personal events, I arrived just a day before my talk. The organization of the entire conference was excellent. The vibe was dynamic and inspiring. The conference took place both in-person and online.
The Professional Organization of The Conference
The setup was highly professional, and towards the talk itself, a technician made sure that everything worked as expected. The duration was a bit tight so I made an effort to get ready by scheduling the talk parts in advance (you can find that in the iped next to the laptop).
My Talk about Spec Driven Development with Kiro
I presented how Kiro, Amazon’s agentic IDE, enables a new era of specification-driven software development. We explored how requirements written in clear, testable forms guide AI to generate, verify, and trace every development step, ensuring quality and transparency. The discussion that followed was full of energy and insight.
Gifts to The Conference Speakers
On the conference day, I was pleasantly surprised to receive several thoughtful gifts as a gesture of appreciation for my talk. I got an awesome, cool t-shirt with marvelous graphics, delicious sweets (which disappeared before I had a chance to take a photo), and a warm word of thanks.
These gestures truly touched me — they reflected the organizers’ generosity and attention to detail. I’m deeply grateful for their kindness and for making the entire experience not only intellectually inspiring but also personally heartwarming. TestCon Europe 2025 was more than just a conference—it was a celebration of how AI and testing intertwine to shape the future of software development. I left Vilnius grateful, inspired, and eager to return next year to share even more about AI-driven development and Spec-Driven approaches.
