This talk was delivered at PyCon Austria 2026, where I explored the idea of zero-human companies and the shift toward spec-driven, AI-executed software systems.
What are Zero Human Companies
Zero-human companies are organizations in which AI agents perform most core operations and also develop the software, while humans define intent, constraints, and strategy. The role of developers shifts upward—from coding to orchestration.

The Spec-Driven Development Methodology
This talk was based on my practical experience building zero-human companies at Zindell Technologies, such as Prompo.ai and nana.events, and aligned with my book on Spec-Driven Development with the Kiro IDE.
The idea of zero-human companies challenges the traditional boundaries of software development. By shifting from writing code to defining specifications, we move toward systems that are more traceable, reproducible, and aligned with long-term goals.
