Three years ago I met, for the first time, the Joomla open source project. I was amazed of how simple it is to install that software and use it for setting up a web site. Following those exciting moments I found my self exploring the amazing world of free open source projects… most of them developed in PHP.
Those findings led me into the PHP world. IMHO the power of PHP derives from the huge community that supports this language. It isn’t about the power of the language it self. It is about the community and the huge range of open source projects developed in PHP. This is also the reason for being the third most popular software programming language in our world.
