My Talk 'Platforms That Scale With AI Through Spec-First Engineering', PlatformCon 2026

PlatformCon 2026 gave me the opportunity to present one of the most important shifts I currently see in software development: the move from code-first engineering to spec-first engineering. As AI makes code generation faster and cheaper, the real challenge is no longer writing code. The real challenge is preserving intent, control, traceability, and long-term engineering memory.

Spec-first engineering gives platform teams the structure required to scale AI-assisted development without losing clarity, governance, or control.
